The program planners plan to address the following health-risk behaviors: erratic sleeping patterns, physical inactivity, poor diet-related behaviors (excessive eating, excessive calorie restriction), alcohol consumption, drug use and inadequate stress management.

Each of these health-risk behaviors is associated with poor college health and can be addressed through health behavior change.

• First, you will write a mission statement for this program. Be sure to give it a name.
• Identify a theoretical framework for your program. Choose between the Health Belief Model or Theory of Planned Behavior.
• Then, your task is to select two of these health-risk behaviors, and write a goal (addressing who and what will change) and three objectives(addressing who will do what, by when, to what extent) for each goal. You want your goals and objectives to tie into your theoretical framework. For exle, if you’re using TPB, you’ll want to address attitude change, as attitude toward the behavior is a key construct of TPB.
  • You will write at least one behavior objective (something that will actually be done), one skill objective (something that they can do/demonstrate), and one learning objective focusing on either knowledge, awareness, or attitude change.
• Finally, you will write one paragraph explaining how your objectives fit within the framework of the theory you selected. (e.g., “I chose to address attitude because attitude is a key construct of the TPB.”).
