You will be graded according to the following criteria:
 
(1) Introduction: the student clearly identifies a specific developmental issue, why it is important, the target audience he or she will be offering the seminar to, and the setting of the seminar (e.g., church, community mental health center).
(2) Literature Review: the student thoroughly summarizes the developmental literature on his or her topic, using at least 10 peer-reviewed journal articles to support his or her claims/assertions; biological, psychological, social, cultural, socioeconomic (e.g., inadequate housing, malnutrition, low educational level), and spiritual aspects of the developmental issue are explored in detail.
(3) Recommendations: the student provides at least five recommendations for improving or resolving the developmental crisis/issue; included in this section will be an exploration of biological (e.g., medication, nutrition, lifestyle changes), psychological, social, and spiritual strategies for ameliorating the issue.
(4) Biblical Perspective: the student explores the developmental issue through the lens of scripture, and offers at least five Bible verses to support his or her integrative effort.
(5) APA Style/Structure: the presentation is in APA style, with no grammatical, spelling, or punctuation mistakes, and is at least 20 slides in length (with at least 4-5 points per slide), excluding the Title and Reference pages; the PowerPoint presentation includes a Title page, Introduction section, Literature Review section, Recommendations section, and Reference page in APA format; at least 10 peer-reviewed journal articles are used beyond the class textbooks; graphics are used throughout the presentation in a creative manner.
